Recount text is a type of text in English that tells about a story, action, or activity. Usually, recount text tells about someone's experience. The purpose of recount text is to entertain the reader, so that there is no conflict in this text. In addition, this text also aims to provide information to readers.

Recount Text Features

1. Using Past Tense (past) sentences, such as went, departed, would, woke up, and so on.

2. Using adverbs and adverbial phrases to express the time, place and manner, such as: last September, Pari Island, on then second day, and so on.

3. Using conjunctions and time connectives to sequence events or events, such as: and, before, then, after that, and so on

Generic Structure of Recount Text

1. Orientation

Tells about the background information about who, where, when the incident or event occurred.

2. Events

Tells a series of events that occurred in chronological order.

3. Re-orientation

Is the closing or conclusion of the story. To close a story, we can give our opinion about the story.

My Idol

My idol is Wendi Cagur, he is an artist as well as a Bomber. Bomber is a person who makes graffiti art on the streets (not vandalism). I really like graffiti art from elementary school because drawing graffiti is my hobby. I like Wendi since junior high school because at that time I saw him drawing on the wall, the way he drew was very detailed and careful that was what I liked about his character, at that time I started to study drawing graffiti in earnest, I started buying equipment for draw like markers and pencils. and at this time I am still learning to draw graffiti because in my opinion I have to deepen the knowledge I got.
